CPACT recently carried out a Feasibility study for member company BP. CPACT employed Kelly Brown as a temporary Research Associate at the University of Strathclyde and she carried out a literature review on potential Raman applications for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. The results of this feasibility study provided a useful industry benchmark and helped reinforce that Raman is a useful tool that warrants further exploration. Along with other evidence, the feasibility study enabled BP to put together a strong business case for a KTP and this post is now being advertised at the University of Manchester.
