Position Description

We provide standalone support for our award-winning software, as well as continuous improvement and enhancement of our Advanced Process Control (APC) industrial applications.  Our systems are deployed in a wide cross-section of industries - including Pharmaceuticals, Paper, Formulated Products and Nutritional Powders - around the world.

The Role

The Support Engineer reports to the Head of Support and will be involved in a variety of activities, including:

  • Continuous improvement of model-based control and monitoring solutions.
  • Supporting the project team in commissioning control and optimisation solutions.
  • Provision of post-commissioning support for engineering projects
  • Investigation and resolution of clients' technical/process and software queries.
  • Generating support reports and recommendations for improvement.

The Candidate

This role would suit a graduate from the engineering (chemical or automation) or pharmaceutical sciences, with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Process Modelling, Advanced Process Control and Optimisation
  • Process statistical benchmarking and analysis
  • Chemometrics, multi-variate modelling and analysis (MVA, MSPC).
  • Process Analytical Techniques (PAT)

Key skills and experience required

  • A relevant degree with experience in one or more of the areas above.
  • Understanding of process control systems (regulatory control, DCS, SCADA etc).
  • Experience with process control and process modelling software.
  • Use of industrial protocols such as OPC.
  • Fluency in the use of Windows and MSOffice.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Location

This is a permanent role at our head office in Daresbury, Cheshire.
