Making biopharmaceutical drug
manufacturing more efficient is a key driver of innovation for the industry. In
this webinar, we will focus on two aspects through which a supplier can help
make biopharmaceutical processes more efficient: digitalization and
intensification. Digitalization is revolutionizing the industry by leveraging
advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and
automation, and the biopharma sector is making significant strides to catch up.
Publications on advanced
analytics and process intensification consistently emphasize common themes such
as COGS, footprint, flexibility, time to market, productivity, and
sustainability. To fully explore the design space of intensification options,
all components must come together: process and media optimization; prototyping
on scale-down platforms that mirror large scale with the same features as the
production scale; PAT; and advanced automation and data handling. Digital tools
connect these elements and enable efficient decision-making. In short, no
single tool wins alone—connectivity and interplay are key.
