Research
activity in CPACT is organised under four Themes that put emphasis
on manufacturing processes where advances in process analysis and
control will have significant benefits. There are also projects that
go across Themes, as the technology involved is applicable in a variety
of manufacturing plants and processes.
The
Themes
Description
Monitoring
of Chemical Processes
To promote
the application of on-line measurement and sampling technologies.
To determine
the scope of current/emerging technologies to monitor species
at low levels, e.g. residual reactants, solvents and impurities.
To determine
the scope of current/emerging technologies for application in
process monitoring from development laboratory to manufacturing
scale.
To establish
priorities for future on-line and non-invasive measurement research.
