CPACT
Research Areas - Phase
II
|
| Research
activity in CPACT is organised under four Themes that put emphasis
on manufacturing processes where advances in process analysis and
control will have significant benefits. There are also projects that
go across Themes, as the technology involved is applicable in a variety
of manufacturing plants and processes. |

Acoustics
A cross-thematic forum on acoustic
techniques has been established to:
- Achieve
greater understanding of passive acoustic signals from processes
through use of advanced methods of signal processing / interpretation
- Investigate
application of broad band passive acoustic measurements in solid
and liquid systems, in comparison with on-line spectroscopic monitoring
techniques
- Evaluate
the potential of active acoustic spectrometry for process analysis
